Friends and parents show new apps to kids

During the “Kinderwelten” youth marketing conference, Birgit Guth from Super RTL presented some suprising data about the media used by children. One part of her presentation was particularly revealing: How do children find new apps?

Friends are mentioned most frequently (78 per cent), then parents with 44 per cent, own research in iTunes is a close third (41 per cent). Television and online advertising are far behind with 19 and 15 per cent respectively.
