The Press Preview at the Spielwarenmesse / Nuremberg Toy Fair has always been a big question mark in the PR plans of our clients. The event is separate from your normal show booth and takes place on the day before the show. It takes valuable resources to make it happen and the exhibitors wonder whether it is worth doing. And we reply: it depends! This year though, we have created a decision tool that makes it easy for you to make the first step!
The media event takes place on 31 January, the day before the Spielwarenmesse starts, in NCC Ost at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. All journalists and content creators can expect an exclusive presentation of new products and ideas from exhibitors – but only of those exhibitors who have booked themselves into this separate event – along with a broad supporting programme. Additionally to our decision tool for you participation we can also help you to get the most out of your participation.
Everything at the Press Preview revolves around one topic: the toy industry’s most important innovations. The key to success for exhibitors at this event has always been to get attention by bringing their product ideas to life at their own stands, with street theatre acts, models and celebrities. PR agencies like us can advise you on how to create a powerful presentation and we can make it happen for you, as well as help you invite even more media and influencers and deal with their inquiries on the day.
Photographers and camera teams will capture emotive images throughout the morning. It all gets going at 8:55 am, when a rousing marching band announces the start of the Press Preview with kettle drums and trumpets. An overview of the trends of the industry will be presented, and there is a special selfie spot and the announcement of the Toy Award winners is now also part of the Press Preview. The action-packed preview day will be rounded off by the BusinessLunch with all the important press representatives in the industry – on Level 1 at NCC Ost.
