Use of cookies
In order to make your visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called “cookies” on some pages. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile phone when you visit websites. After the end of the browser session, some of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive (“session cookies”). The so-called “permanent cookies”, on the other hand, remain on your computer and enable us to recognize you on your next visit. Our partner companies are not permitted to collect, process or use personal data via our website using cookies. You have the option of preventing the storage of cookies on your computer by means of appropriate browser settings, which, however, may limit the functional scope of our offer.
Our cookies help us:
- They make our website work the way you expect it to.
- Saving settings during and between visits, e.g. language selection
- Improvement of the speed/security of the website
- Continuous improvement of our website for you
- Make our marketing more efficient (ultimately, it helps us to offer the service we provide at the price we do).
- There is no other way to prevent these cookies from being set than not to use our website.
We do not use cookies for the following:
- Collection of personal data (without your explicit consent)
- Collection of any sensitive information (without your express consent)
- Passing on data to advertising networks
- Disclosure of personal data to third parties
- Payment of sales commissions
Third-party functions
Like most websites, our website contains functions provided by third parties. A common example is our embedded YouTube video. Deactivation of these cookies may impair the functions offered by these third parties.
Cookies for anonymous visitor statistics
We use cookies to generate visitor statistics, such as how many people have visited our website, what kind of technology they use (e.g. Mac or Windows to determine when our website does not work how for certain technologies), how long they stay on the website, what page they view, etc. This helps us to continuously improve our website. These so-called analytics programs also tell us if, on an anonymous basis, people reached this site (e.g. from a search engine) and if they were here before helping us to spend more money developing our services for you, rather than marketing. We use: Google Analytics (Anonymised, see below under Webtracking)
Disabling cookies
You can usually deactivate cookies by setting your browser so that it does not accept cookies. However, this is likely to limit the functionality of our and much of the world’s websites, as cookies are a standard feature of most modern websites.
Web tracking software
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses „Cookies“. The information generated by the cookie, which is about how you use our website and includes your IP address, will be sent to a Google server in the US and saved there. Google will use this information, in order to find out about how you use this website, to compile reports for the owner of the web site about the activities on the web site and to deliver other services related to the use of the website and the internet. Google may also send this data to third parties, as far as this is legally required or if third parties are processing the data on behalf of Google.
The data sent by us and linked with cookies, user IDs (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has been reached is automatically deleted once a month.
Under no circumstances will Google link your IP address to other data at Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by the settings in your browser software. By using this website, you are agreeing to the processing of your personal data by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above. Using the Link tools.google.com you can object to the collection and storage of data with effect for the future at any time.
In view of the discussion about the use of tracking software with complete IP addresses we would like to stress that this web site uses Google Analytics with the extension „_anonymizeIp()“ and therefore only processes shortened IP addresses in order to prevent IP addresses being attributed directly to users.
Personal Information
You can visit our website without providing any personal data. If personal data (such as name, address or e-mail address) is collected on our pages, this is done on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. If a contractual relationship between you and us is to be established, developed or changed, or if you make an inquiry to us, we collect and use personal data from you to the extent necessary for these purposes (inventory data). We collect, process and use personal data to the extent necessary to enable you to use the website (usage data). All personal data will only be stored for as long as necessary for the stated purpose (processing of your inquiry or processing of a contract). Tax and commercial retention periods are taken into account here. By order of the competent authorities, we may provide information about this data (inventory data) in individual cases, insofar as this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution, to avert danger, to fulfil the legal tasks of the constitutional protection authorities or the military counter-intelligence service or to enforce intellectual property rights.

Backups
Our Backups are stored in the data centres of Code42 Software, Inc. 100 Washington Ave S., Suite 2000

YouTube
For the integration of videos, our site uses the provider YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Normally your IP address is already sent to YouTube and cookies are installed on your computer when you visit a page with embedded videos. However, we have included our YouTube videos in the enhanced privacy mode (in which case YouTube will still contact Google’s Double Click service, but Google’s privacy policy does not evaluate personal information). As a result, YouTube no longer stores information about visitors unless they watch the video. When you click on the video, your IP address will be transmitted to YouTube and YouTube will know that you have watched the video. If you are logged in to YouTube, this information will also be associated with your user account (you can prevent this by logging out before viewing the video on YouTube).
We have no knowledge of and no influence on the possible collection and use of your data by YouTube. For more information, please see YouTube’s privacy policy at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ In addition, for general handling and deactivation of cookies, we refer to our general description in this data protection declaration.
Your right to information, correction, blocking and deletion
Upon your request, you as a user will receive free information about which personal data about you has been stored. Unless your request conflicts with a legal obligation to retain data, you have a right to have false data corrected and your personal data blocked or deleted.
Your contact regarding privacy and data protection
If you have questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data, or if you would like to get information or correct, block or delete data, please contact the person named on our „Contact“ or „Imprint“ sub-pages.
